FAQ, Terms of service, and consent

This page explains all of the conditions of working with for love's sake. 

The booking of services with for love's sake gives your consent and agreement to all of the following Terms and Conditions.
 

Legal Disclaimer and consent

I am not a clinical or licensed psychotherapist, and my services are considered alternative/holistic.

The services I provide do not encompass diagnosing any disorder as found in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or providing any medical diagnosis or treatment. My services are not intended as a substitute or cure for any disease, health condition or psychiatric/mental condition. No claim is made for the treatment or cure of any new or previous medical or psychiatric conditions. I do not advise or dispense medication/supplements, nor supervise any medication/supplements you may receive from other healthcare providers. I do not provide reports for insurance companies. The impact and effect from healing is individualized and dependent upon a wide array of influences, and therefore no guarantee of personal results can be made.

CONSENT
* You understand your participation in these healing sessions will not treat or diagnose any disease, illness, or ailment and if you should experience any such issues you should see your registered physician or other practitioner as determined by your own judgment.
* You understand this session is not a substitute for health care, medical or nutritional advice of any kind.
* You understand and agree that you are fully responsible for your mental well-being, mental, and physical choices and decisions during and after the Session.
* You understand that we do not offer any representations, warranties, or guarantees, verbally or in writing, regarding any results of any kind.

 

About my coaching services:

My service is coaching based on intuition, education, and personal experience. I provide a safe space for people to connect with their feelings openly and honestly. 
 

My services are based on helping individuals who are looking to better themselves:

  • general life advice

  • grief or loss

  • lack of guidance or direction

  • negative thought patterns

  • limiting thinking

  • depression

  • anxiety

  • negative habits and patterns that cause distress

  • excessive worry, fear and doubt

  • unresolved trauma

It is my intention to help guide you to arrive at your own conclusions. I do this by offering safe space to share with trust and openness. I will ask exploratory questions to help you realize patterns in your life. All my work is done with the intention to help you be the best person you can be and break free from the maters that trouble and limit you. 
 

I do not hold all of the answers. The answers are often times within you and great introspective is needed to arrive at them. You are reasonable for your own well-being throughout all sessions. You know your limits and offer your own consent to all services. 
 

You are fully responsible for your choices and the decision to undertake healing, for yourself and any conditions that may or may not occur in conjunction with the healing.

No results are guaranteed. Most healing work is completely dependent on the individuals openness to help and putting in the personal time and effort. 

In-person and virtual sessions:

Individual healing sessions are currently offered in-person in St. Petersburg, Florida. Online sessions are available online via zoom. Both are equally as effective.
 

Session frequency:

You may find that 1 session is helpful for your individual needs. However, often times individuals find the most benefit from committing to a series of sessions focused on different goals. There is no one size fits all guide to personal healing and self-exploration.  I cannot predict or guarantee how you will process our sessions internally.
 

What session length is right for you?:


My sessions are meant to make you feel like you have all the time and space needed to connect within with what needs your attention most. This work should not be rushed. You do not want to be deep into personal healing and reflection and worry about running out of time. Please budget accordingly as sessions are booked on a pro-rated basis depending on length of the actual session

Booking sessions in time increments are suggestions for me to keep in mind and we will attempt to stay within them if desired by the individual. 

 


WHAT TO EXPECT AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Before the session:

You are responsible for leading the session. You will often times the most pressing issues will arise naturally once you give your mind and body a few moments of stillness. If you like to prepare then please reflect on issues you wish to work through. Otherwise you can flow naturally with the energy of the session. 
 

During the session:

The work we do together has incredible power. I ask that you are fully present 100% of the time during the session. Limit all distractions for your own benefit. This work can be one of the best things you do for yourself if you allow yourself to be fully present.

Do not multitask if joining via virtual call. You will also want full privacy as often times sessions lead to personal matters.  

Please turn off all other cell phones or communication devices. You do not want to be close to a breakthrough and get a distracting notifcation.

 

I can only provide guidance with respect to the issues you identify and express to me, so please do your very best to be honest, and fully present, focused and willing to do your work. Moving through change can be uncomfortable at times. Resistance is quite common in a session, and it’s my role to gently guide you through this to bring you to your deeper insights. This is one way that change is created for you. However, should there be anything in our session that makes you extremely uncomfortable, please bring it to my attention in the moment.

Each session will begin with talking about what brings you in for the days session. We will move to gentle breath work, a prayer or words will be shared, then time is offered for the individual to work through thoughts on their own. I will engage as often or as little as guided to best support the individual. 

I encourage brining a journal to take notes of thoughts that arise. This is not required nor should it be forced. This entire process should flow very naturally. If you feel like taking notes do it if you don't then skip it.

I am not a health care professional nor am I perfect. My suggestions are based on understanding and reading your situation. All advice should be taken with respect and consideration. However, 

any information or suggestions provided by me is at no time to be construed as binding advice or directives. You have full responsibility and accountability for all actions and consequences arising from our work together.
 

You may not attend any session under the influence of recreational drugs or alcohol as this prevents us from maximizing the benefits of the session. I reserve the right to cancel the session and charge you my full fee for the reserved session time if you do so. Please refrain from chewing gum/candy, consuming caffeine, smoking, or eating during session as this interferes with your processing.

However, replenishing your body with water is essential. Please come to session free of distractions, and centered as best possible. For in-person sessions, to accommodate chemical sensitivities and allergies, please refrain from wearing any scented products.

 

Each session is conducted with an understanding of strict confidentiality. All records are also kept strictly confidential. Please note that there are limits to the confidentiality when it comes to my knowledge that you may harm yourself or another person. In addition, on very rare occasions, if another therapist is consulted when issues arise that are outside my area of expertise, you will not be identified by name without your permission. If I feel our work is outside the realm of my expertise, then I will refer you to another therapist if possible. I retain the right to terminate therapy at any time and explain my reasons for doing so.
 

After the session:

It’s up to you to invest your time and effort to expand your consciousness, outside of the session. Spending some quiet time to journal or absorb the learning in your session will also deepen the healing.

For in-office/phone/Skype sessions, I do not provide written session summaries to you, as I trust that you receive what you need in the moment, and what matters is what you take away from session. I will sometimes e-mail you suggested exercises or tools if and as they arise from the session, but it’s your responsibility to note what’s been suggested to you for further self-support and integration. 

Completion of the exercises that you do on your own, outside of session, will greatly enhance our work together and your progress. Please bring completed exercises back with you to the next session to possibly further learn from them. After the session, as you integrate the healing, it’s up to you to stay aware of how your experience of yourself has shifted– what’s changed and also what is rising to the surface of your consciousness as the next organic layer to address. This is input for the next session.

Please note that I do not offer emergency services. If you are suicidal or in addiction crisis please call your local support services who specialize in these matters. Often it’s not possible for me to provide same-day appointments.
 

 I retain the right at my sole discretion to refuse servicing an established client or a prospective client, and will so advise the individual at the earliest possible time, stating my reasons for doing so. I reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at my sole discretion. Terms are always up-dated on this page.
